- Did you read about the vanishing lake? It seems that a five acre glacial lake in Chile’s Southern Andes “had simply disappeared” said Juan Jose Romero head of Chile’s National Forest Service. Park rangers found a 100 feet deep crater where the lake had been in March. Check the picture at the bottom.
- Did you read about the most hated Internet words? It seems that there are some words Internet words that make people go ugh. According to a poll commissioned by the Lulu Blooker Prize of 2,091 adults in England of the most hated words published the results on Thursday. Here are the top 5, #1 folsonomy, #2 blogosphere, #3 blog, #4 netiquette and #5 blook. I have to admit, I don’t hate any of those words.
- Did you read about a ruptured cable disrupting Internet service? It seems that accidental damage to an undersea cable left millions without their Internet service in five Latin American countries. In Colombia as many as 45% were left with no service. Panama, Venezuela, Costa Rica and Nicaragua reported problems as well.
