A Valentine’s Day Story

Thursday, February 14th, 2008

The year is barely beginning and sure enough February is here which means that Valentine’s Day comes included at no extra charge. So I thought that I would offer you something very special that will no doubt ring true to millions if not billions of people. Sit back, relax and let me tell you a story.

There was a lonely guy and he didn’t want to spend another lonely day or the rest of his life alone so he went looking for the right one.

After meeting that special one he wanted to let that special one how he felt about her so he went and got some flowers with a note saying those so famous words, I Love You.

Things got serious after a few months of dating and finally he decided to pop the big question. He headed to his local jewelry store to find just the perfect ring because the perfect woman deserves no less.

After saying “Yes” and after the wedding they flew away on their honeymoon to one of those sunny and fun places you see all the time on TV.

After the honeymoon the time came to get ready for married life. So they headed to their local bank for for their home loan, car loan and insurance needs because after all we know that stuff happens.

And so after a few years the children came and with that his hair started to head the way of the dinosaurs and wanting to be left alone to watch football he finally handed her his credit cards so she could spend, spend and they lived happily ever after, a true story.

Thanksgiving Quick Hits Of The Day

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

First thing is first, I wish you and your families a happy Thanksgiving, I am thankful because my family is healthy, thankful that we can spend this day together. My God my family and my friends are number one in my life because they will always be there for me no matter what.

Here we are on the first Saturday of the four day weekend. This break will do me a lot of good and I am planning on enjoying it as much as I can. Stay safe and lets take care of each other out there.

Well the time is almost 6 AM as I write this. I have been online all night watching videos, reading articles and one thing that I haven’t done yet is to play COD 4 and that surprises me. Hey, there is plenty of day left and I am sure that sooner or later I will play. Did I mention that I am a Captain now?, that is me all right.

The LA Autoshow runs from November 16-25 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and it happens to be open today and we kids were thinking of going. Don’t know if I am going to make it because I have not slept at all and I am sure that sooner or later the lack of sleep is going to hit me but we’ll see. If I end up going I will try to take some pictures to show you.

No Sense Of Humor

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

As you all know I am a very optimistic and humorous guy but for some strange reason some of my co workers aren’t. Take for instance the fact that we work three days this week and we get a four day weekend. The way I see it we work Monday, Wednesday and Friday and get two Saturdays and two Sundays off, makes sense right?. When I mention that to some of my co workers they look at me like I am crazy and that reminds me of this post I wrote back in July. There are of course a few and I do mean a few that get my drift but the majority seem to be a lost cause. As for me you know that I am glad today is Wednesday and that Friday is just around the corner, a very short week indeed. I think I am going to pack my bags and go to Hawaii………………. forgot that I have no money, darn.

Quick Hits Of The Day

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

Well, Monday came and went and that not it’s time to get back to work. The extra day off didn’t do me that good for one reason and one reason only. I spent most of the day playing that game I wrote about on Monday, Call Of Duty 4. I am not playing the regular game, I am playing online with a whole bunch of people from all over the place so far I like it a lot. I’ve made it all the way to Sergeant but if I keep at it the sky is the limit, ok maybe not the sky but you get my point. I know that I should have spent the day resting but I just couldn’t resist the temptation.

Remember that I wrote about my Zune, read about it here. I could never get it to work again, I checked online and it said I could return it but I needed “a bona fide receipt” that my sister didn’t have anymore. Well, my sister was able to return it to the place she got it from and got credit for the full amount. She told me about it yesterday and lo and behold I have a $223.00 dollar credit ready to spend on another Zune or anything else I want. Do I get another Zune? or do I get the new I Phone, what do you think?.

And speaking of the Zune, the Zune 2 debuts today. There new models are the 80GB, the 8GB and the 4GB. The one I used to have was the original 30 GB Zune.

Such A Beauty

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

On Friday on the bus on my way to work I was sitting in my usual place, all the way in the back next to the window. I usually listen to my Zune but at the moment I am Zuneless so there went that idea and I didn’t feel like reading so I was content to just check the views. And that is when I saw her, it had been a while since I had seen such a beauty but there she was right before my eyes, those curves, those lights, it was one of those 80’s Camaros. If there ever was a car that I would get this is it, if I had the money or course but I don’t. I could get a loan you know and if the monthly payment were close to $25 dollars a month I could afford that. But then reality sets in, insurance, gasoline, tires, oil changes, parking fees at work and the list just goes on and on and with that my beauty just slips away out of sight. The picture below is not of the beauty I saw just a picture to let you see what I am talking about. This is a 1989 Camaro IROC Z, isn’t she a beauty?.
