Wednesday Video

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

Another day , another fifty cents and that is before taxes you know. Anyway, the middle of the week is here and that means that it’s time for another exciting episode of Wednesday Video.  Last week’s video was “18 And life” by Skid Row. This is one of their best songs and video in my opinion, and one of my all time favorites. Sebastian Bach has one of the best metal voices, you only have to see the video to agree or disagree with me. And that brings us to today’s video which I like a lot and I have a feeling that you will too.

One Of Those Days

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Last Friday was a very bad one in more way than one for me and a lot of people. First lets talk about the stock market, that morning I read in the paper about the 20th anniversary of black Monday when the market dropped a whooping 508 points. Next thing I know the market is down 367 points!! and just like that some of my yearly gains in my portfolio went the way of the dinosaur. That is the way the cookie crumbles.

So there I am thinking but not worrying about the market and listening to my Zune when all of the sudden the music stops. So I pull it out of my pocket and push, play and nothing happens. I then try to go to the next song but nothing happens and next thing I know the screen is frozen and I can’t turn it off or do anything. I get home and plug it in and tells me that it needs to do some stuff and to make a long story short, my Zune doesn’t work anymore. As soon as I figure out what to do I’ll let you know.

So there I am on Friday, losing money and if that wasn’t bad enough Zuneless. A bad Friday indeed.

A Nice Weekend

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

This weekend was good and I sure slept as much as I needed to. So I am ready for this week.

On Saturday I got home at about 2:30 AM to find my brother, his girlfriend and my nephew playing Resident Evil 4. The 3 of us boys agree to try to “pass” the whole game, so we get to it and what do you know. One hour later they are quitting and going to bed and in the end I am the only one still playing. I end up going to bed at about 4:30 AM and waking up at about 10 AM if I remember correctly. Watched some TV and played Resident Evil 4 for what it seemed forever but in reality was only about 3 hours I think. I died a couple of times but only because I don’t play everyday like I used to. My team the DC United won the Supporters Shield  even after losing their last game to the Columbus Crew 3-2, again I am not happy with the result and they better do better in the playoffs if they want to be champions. That is all I am going to said about that. I then watched some more TV and finally went to bed at 2AM.

On Sunday I was going to go play some basketball at 2PM but since I woke up a 1:30 PM I didn’t go. Instead I wake up to the news that there is a fire in Malibu and a bunch of other brush fires all over Southern California due to high winds. Played some more Resident Evil 4, watched some more TV and then went to bed.

In The News

Friday, October 19th, 2007

It is good to be back and be myself after a long pain in the behind called the flu. In The News is the name of the post so that means that today is Friday and the weekend is just hours away, oh yeah!!. In The News cheaper, in a good way, than premium unleaded.

  1. Did you read about the big shark? It seems that a group of friends on a fishing tournament looking for grouper 70 miles southwest of Destin Florida caught something else. An eleven foot, 844.4 pound mako shark. A record for the Destin Fishing Rodeo in the shark division. “It was like ‘Jaws,’” Capt Robert Hill said. I bet it was.
  2. Did you read about the hungry thief?  It seems that a thief in Appleton, Wisconsin was looking for the wrong kind of loot. The burglar entered an unlocked apartment and took a pizza, six eggs, a can of beef ravioli, a can of peaches and one chicken-and-broccoli Hot Pocket, authorities said.
  3. Did you read about Vice President Dick Cheney and Senator Barack Obama? It seems that the two are distant cousins, yes you read that right. So says Mrs Cheney who discovered the link while doing research for her new book, “Blue Skies, No Fences.” The common ancestor was Mareen Devall, a 17th century immigrant from France making the two eight cousins. I stay away from politics on this blog as you all know but this was too good to pass up.
  4. Did you read about the price of a barrel of oil? It seems that crude oil reached an all time high today, over $90 a barrel. All I can say is, ouch!!.
